Those nice peeps at specialist cars of malton are launching their big breakfast meet on sunday 19th october. They want it to be an ace cafe/goodwood type thing and the breakfast is gratis too.

Man&sue organised a great drive to there for the whitby run earlier in the year which i've still got somewhere, starting from skipton.

Anyone up for this?

I'm up for that - some good roads on the way over [;)]

Will I need my Passport for the border crossing.....??!![:D]

As I needed my passport for the Northern Ace meet then its only right you DO have to bring yours if you are coming to Yorkshire [:D][:D][:D][:D] at least I did need to go through the tunnel

I will not need a passport but am available for translations at a modest fee...[;)]

Hi Jeremy,

sorry mate ...couldn't resist that. Last time we went to a malton do we met at little chef on the skipton by pass (A59) and then mac&sue had a cross country route that dropped us down into malton, which is definately worth doing again just hopefully without rain and sleet[:'(]!

Little chef 8.00 am sunday 19th october...if that sounds ok then put yourself down here if youre going

Mac - do you still have that route skipton to malton?

HI
We still have the route on paper and imbedded in the rather small brain I keep for such things.OK we will meet at Little Chef at Skipton at 8 am its about 120 miles from there so we should land about er! 9 45am that includes bad weather and possible mercy stop.Sutton Bank bogs don't open till 10 00 . I guess if we do it in accordance with the Highway code we may be there at about that time, so we'll say 10 15 at Malton.

blimey mac, by my calculations of following you I had us down to arrive at 8.34 a.m !!!![;)]

joking apart its 9 til 12 so arriving at ten ish sounds'bout right

I'm up for that as well! I've not posted on here before-mainly 'cos I forgot me password!!! Daytona Yellow rules OK?

I'll think you'll find its signal yellow albert.....or was it olympic blue...[:D][;)]

Albert, if you and Mac are coming, let's make sure someone brings some jump leads (or that Mac remembers to turn off his interior light overnight!)

Alyson and I are looking forward to coming across to meet up with your members. We are friends of Mac and Sue, Barry and Jean etc. Sounds like a great drive and it will be nice to get the car out for a good run. We will be staying in the area over the weekend. Thanks to Mac and Sue for inviting us to the event.
Regards

Hi All,

A reminder that we will be leaving the Little Chef car park at Skipton (on the A59) at 8.00a.m. prompt. If you are late it will be a matter of finding your own way to Malton. We are going by the scenic route.

Mac
