Hi - have a look at this thread for what others have tried: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=405789
When you buy new blades make sure you notice first that the two blade are different lengths.
I can't imagine 996/7 arms/blades would fit/work - quite different positioning/windscreen.

I've got some brand new Bosch ones on eBay that I am quite pleased with - as Mark says, the set is different lengths, not everyone knows that.
Just search for "Porsche 993 wiper blades" on eBay, you'll get plenty of choice for around a tenner.
Also make sure the screen is perfectly clean and free of any grease or wax polish from car wash etc.
Also, don't expect them to last too long. About a year or 10,000 miles in my experience.

Just changed all three of mine on my 993C4 for £12 from Motorparts Direct in Bicester for Bosch. The previous set made it through from November last year, and I'm sure the cold weather freezes the rubber and kills them. Now smear free.

I had Bosch ones on mine from ECP but the fit wasn't too clever.
I have now replaced them with genuine parts. Not cheap but the proper ones fit the curve of the screen better and the lower one has a little cut out in it to fit a little rubber buffer. This stops the wipers banging together at the bottom of the screen. I had no idea this part existed until my Indy pointed out it was missing.
