Winter tyres

I have two sets of rims and switch to a set of winter tyres typically in November. As my winter Pirellis are 10 years old now i need to swap them out. I can find any Pirellis or other winter tyres for that matter in an N fitment.
Any sugestions?

I've driven on winters for 14 years now. I use bridgestone's (LM005 on a Golf GTD, and on an Audi A6 Avant BiTDI) on my daily fleet that are excellent. For winter tyres as log as you buy premium brands, they have so much grip I don't think you would need to worry about them being N rated, although I have not tried them on my 997 I must add. I can't see them upsetting the PASM like cheap non-brand summer tyres might, and the safety (grip/braking) difference between summer and winter rubber is night and day.

best wishes

Andy

What size are your winters please Brian? My local supplier can’t get winters for my rears (305/30 ZR19) The fronts were ok (235/35 ZR19). Black Circles said the same. Do I need different sized rims or can I fit narrower tyres on the wide body rear wheels, 295 from memory?

Interesting that your current winters are 10 years old but you are looking for N rated which Porsche require changing at 5 years old (for warranty)

any particular reason for N rated winters?
