Windscreen Washer Nozzle Adjustment

Hi, I need to adjust the spray from the windscreen washer nozzles but when I looked at the nozzles all I can see is a horizontal slit, I was expecting to see a ball with a hole in it which can be adjusted with a pin. Is any adjustment possible?

As Brian mentioned you can't adjust the spray but you can replace them with a VW part where the spray is a little better as in the video below. Scroll to 3:50 for the washer jet mod.

 
Thanks, that is really helpful. I found a set of new jets on ebay for just £5.95 so for that price I thought I'd try them but if I can replace them with something that is adjustable that would be much better.
