Wind noise on 964 C4

Hi,
we are new to Porsche ownership and have a 1992, LHD 964 C4, it has recentlY been resprayed , bonnet / trim off etc , but now there is a wind noise from @ passenger side door at speeds over 45mph. We can detect no incoming air when when feeling around the door and all trim and seals seem to be in good shape and complete when comparing to drivers side , any ideas appreciated as to cause of the noise

Are all the plastic bungs in place? I had this on a car and it was wind coming in from the door through the door cardby the opening rod, duct tape solved the problem.

Can you get someone to sit in passenger seat with tissue to move around door to check door seal? I had this from drivers side door seal and there was nothing visible.

From the outside looking down towards the passenger door from the wing/headlight, does the door panel (where hinged) sit slightly proud of the wing? If your door to wing panel is not flush this often creates wind or 'whistling' noise. Also look at the very top corner of the window frame (it's the only frame corner!) - does that seal against the door rubber? Sometimes there can be a very small gap where there is marginal or no seal at all.

Good luck

I have a similar whistling noise, get someone to sit in the passenger seat & when you hear the noise, push at various places along the door/window seal. At some point, the noise will probably disappear.

Hi,
thanks for all the replies , they solved my problem - wind noise solved with duct tape on passenger side door where these should be an oval plastic bung & installed a new door seal.
drove to Greece and back with no issues
