Wind noise at 70mph

Anyone else get a loud rushing wind noise from the drivers door on the latest Cayennes at 70mph and beyond (in a legal environment of course)?

It's like someone going 'shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' in my right ear and it gets louder the faster you go.

My OPC tell me this is normal - which I find staggering....

I know there were two TSB's for wind noise on the older Cayennes:

8/04 5730 for '04 models regarding new upper window seal (the triangular piece at the upper rear of the window)

8/05 6440 for '05 models regarding the production holes in the door frame.

Absolutely not Alex, 'they all do that, sir' in this instance is wrong....

They are saying all their other demo Cayennes exhibit the same behavior.

I certainly don't recall the noise in the demo's that I previously took out.

So it's either a design flaw or I have super-human hearing.

Did you guys go for the 'Heat and noise-insulating glass' option by any chance?

Had mine 6 months and no such noise. It's not acceptable to say it's normal - it certainly is not and do they honestly expect to build such a vehicle at such a price level and have a wind noise? I think not and someone needs a kick in the rear at your dealership I'm afraid, for even contemplating it. I didn't spec the heat and noise-insulating glass. Glad I didn't if that's the cause.

I would write to Porsche direct in UK and tell them what the OPC told you
And ask for confirmation ?
