Wifi - confused

Not just me confused but local OPC is also confused

According to various sites and videos posted by OPC Toronto you can connect the car to an external wifi hotspot - the car is the client not the host - but the menu options to achieve this do not exist on our PCM system. Porsche were conatcted and suggested how to make the connection - no luck.

Reason for this was both phones in the house have unlimited everything and I feel the charge for the Porcshe system is excessive so want an alternative - I use Android Auto for navigation music etc so not critical but iw would be nice to restore all the functions

Anyone have a definitive answer, an alternative solution

Hi Andrew, as far as I can remember the only way to connect the car to an external Wi-Fi is to first turn off the PCM phone.
