Why do my dash bulbs keep going out ?

This is my second 944 and with most the dash barely lights up at night so i replaced the bulbs with leds that didnt light at all

then i changed them to 5w sidelight bulbs and one by one they eventualy go out

Ive done the same with my new S2, changed the ols 2w bulbs and replaced them with 5w sidelight bulbs
After two days the first from the left went out then today 4 days later the middle one has now gone out

This has to be a problem everyone else has had
whats the problem and how do i fix it ?

5W is too powerful for the dash binnacle. They run too hot and have been known to catch fire or melt before now. You would be better off re-silvering the prisms. Makes a hell of a difference.

i did resilver them

ill get some new 2w bulbs and get them in

'Earthing' is the answer to many eletrical problems. 944s are notoriously weak in this respect.
