I've been looking at the video's on you tube re ball joint rebuild kits. As far as I can see there is nothing in these kits that can't be made or sourced elsewhere. I think I'll have a go at remaking ball joints myself. For example why cant you take a early car 3 bolt type ball joint and cut it open and use the bushes and knuckle from it to remake the joints on a late arm. The knuckle is the same and the bushes should fit the only thing I would have to add is a couple of grease nipples and some epoxy to seal everything up at the end. Has anyone ever tried this and if not then why not ? A ball joint for an early car is only a couple of pounds so I figure I might as well do it and if it doesn't work I will have to buy a rebuild kit any way so no harm done.
