Where to buy new bolts when fitting Bilstein B6 struts?

I'm in the process of upgrading my struts all round and am wondering where I can get high tensile bolts etc. especially for the rears. Does anyone know where I can get some from, or do I just get in touch with my local Porsche Centre parts dept? The original front bolts had quite fine threads on them and some that I got to replace them from Websters on Wreham Industrial Estate had coarse threads and I needed stainless steel nuts to take the required torque. I haven't as yet taken off the rear struts and am wondering if I can get new equivalents somewhere? Thanks in advance for any replies.

If they are standard porsche parts then OPC, if not then http://www.namrick.co.uk/ but ring them to go through what you need.

Out of interest, which struts exactly are you fitting (part numbers ?0 and which make of springs ?

I am in the middle of a suspension review at the moment

Ian, I'm fitting Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty struts as these are the ones most people recommend. One tip though is to buy them from the States via e-shocks, (Google them) as the cheapest I've seen over here are from Euro Car Parts ( www.eurocarparts.com.) at £270.70 each (with VAT at 17.5%) for the fronts and either £184.55 or £180.80 (with VAT at 17.50%) for the rears, depending on chassis number. The price at e-shocks is $229 each for the fronts and $150.80 each for the rears, plus shipping via UPS and import duty and handling. They also do a full set of 4 for around $717 and believe me they are still a lot cheaper after adding up all the charges than getting them from anyone in the UK. One of the reasons for this is that e-shocks specialize in selling suspension items only for all vehicles, so they must sell a lot. Their service is excellent and you will get the items in around a week after ordering them. So go for it!!

Ian, sorry forgot to mention that my car was already lowered with H & R springs before I bought it.I recently discovered that my struts were shot so needed to replace/upgrade them. I also notice that you already have RS suspension, which I don't know too much about. Anyway I'm sure a visit to e-shocks will be very interesting??
