When will the 997TT hit £80k?

Quite a few now on the Porsche website used, currently resiliant to dropping below £100k...so for those with a crystal ball, or maybe we should just open a book to guess when they will hit £80k...my money is that we will see £80k approx Xmas 07, obviously for a reasonable spec/mileage one....anyone got a prediction?

Chris, you are probably about right with your timing prediction 18-20 months seems to be the freefall trigger for a new model.

Also, a lot of these cars will have been thrashed whilst trying to keep up with us X51 boys [:)] so there is a possible value adjustment to be made there too !

I would say there would be a BIG drop in price after the PDK is introduced. Who will want a Tiptronic after that?! The PDK version will be faster and a lot smother.

Plus, if the Turbo is subject to the 997 facelift program (however unlikely that may be) that would mean some exterior styling differences and maybe even Direct Injection resulting in more BHP. Again, more drops...

Plus, the powerkit for the Turbo is expected out soon and there's been sources that say it WON'T be retro-fitable to existing Turbos. So again, more drop in price once that comes out...
 
Hmm, new turbo with bits £106k and about to deprciate like a stone if the others comemnts are true or C2s with X51 about to be a modern classic and only ~£80k.........

I am with the C2S x51 or will be in 3 weeks......

Keep the faith.

C2S X51, faster than anybody trully needs, socially unnacceptable on all counts, beautiful to the eye of the beholder and at £30k less than a properly specced turbo, a performance bargain.

Enjoy it before it becomes illegal.

You joke not. Tony Browns Big Brother is out to get us all but we are not numbers, we are free men ! ( for the moment anyway )

Pure mechanical power is always more satisfying, take some time to play yourself in, dont forget to run that motor in properly.

As for the TT, I still hanker after one because its the 'ultimate' 911. But thats very shallow isnt it. Went through the same sought of process with superbikes a few years ago and I can honestly say the fastest ones were not necessarily the nicest ones to ride.

I have not caned my powerkit C2S yet but it still feels ( the crucial thing ), madder than Mad Jack McMad, winner of last years Mr Mad competition.

Yves - thats it - you'll be on interpols list on a shoot to kill policy. The wort of all crimes thinking about speed AND joking about our glotrious leaders...........

1973-ish 5-ish years old neighbour had the first model 911 turbo, big spoiler. So I'll always want a 911 Turbo from the latest model.

911C2S felt plenty quick enough. I am expecting the x51 to feel downright terrifyingly fast and therefore great fun, 100 mile run in will take me about a month. Then I'll be able to give it the beans[:D][:D][:D]
