Whats the norm on temp?

Hi all,

Just curious... I dont often drive the car, just weekends and had the previlege to be sat in some traffic yesterday... the needle appears to point at the left edge (or a mil past it) of the "0" on the "80" mark. It also stands between this point whilst driving or lower, a mil or 2 past the 8. Basically the needle is at a 90 degree... is this normal? What are the tolerances... does anyone know?

Any advice?

Sounds about right. Mine runs between the 80 marker and the left edge of the '0' almost all the time, perhaps moving up slightly in long stationary traffic.
