I have bought a set of 16in Winter Cup 1 wheels which are 7/ET55 & 9/ET 70 probably to use for trackdays or normal use depends how I feel once fitted. What size spacers should I use at rear , I have 7mm ones on front already.I have std '91 S2 alloys on at moment 7/ET55 & 8/ET52.3 .Am I right in thinking I should use 17/18mm on the rears or are they not needed.
Cheers

Nick. I also had a set of these wheels about 2 years or so. They came with 7mm on front and 18mm on rear. Helped fill out the arches.

They will fit without spacers but the wheels will look too inset without, I have the same wheels with 18mm spacers in the rear and none in the front, although I am using 225 section front tyres and the fill out the wheel arches without the need for spacers. Jasmine is where I got mine, good solid, light and well made German products make all the difference imo. Dont forget that with the 9' rears you will probably need 245 rear section tyres to fit properly.

Thanks for that Edd I have 245 on the rears and 205 on fronts so will keep the 7mm on front and get some 18mm for rears.

Edd has hit the nail on the head Nick. I have set of 993 Winter Cups too and whist they dont need spacers, because the offsets are pretty much right, they need spacers to look right.

I found 30 front and 20mm rear was what was need 2 fill the arches like my 18" wheels did. Need longer studs, which arnt a quick job 2 fit. I used some steel open ended nuts 2 pull them though the hub. Used a 2ft pole and a wheel nut on one stud 2 lock the hub and wind the next stud though.

30mm is def too much for the fronts with 993 winters. Also depends on the type of spacers, my H&S spacers just bolt-on and do not require longer studs, these are the ones to go for imo.
