Hi again,

quick and probably simple question for you..

Thinking of using Dynamix to restore a bit of life to my leather seats.. I see on here people have used it to good result..

But.. what colour leather do I have..

1) How do I find out?
2) It's light(ish) green.. is there only 1 green leather used by Porsche?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Interior Colour Codes

As far as I know there isn't an official list of interior codes shown on the Vehicle Identification Label. By comparing the colour codes shown in the Porsche PET, and the codes shown in the Order Guides, I have compiled the list below, along with codes shown in Patrick Paternie's 'Porsche 911 Red Book'. The letter/number(s) shown are the first/second character of the Interior Colour Code shown on the VIL (on the underside of the luggage compartment lid, or on the label in the Maintenance Booklet). If you think there are any innacuracies, please let me know.

Thanks for your quick reply :)

Mine is "L92M J"C - So I presume I am leather code JC - which isnt listed. But looks like J stands for Nephrite, which is green, and that makes sense... Would like confirmation before I restore my seats to the wrong colour though!

Thanks very much guys (Sorry for late reply, been away) - Glad to have that confirmed.

So who has used Dynamix recently... Any horror stories?

:)

I used it very recently to repair some general wear and tear on my metropole blue leather and it was superb. Absolutely perfect colour match (without having to use either the light or dark tint).

I redid my whole interior with their dye kit.

Ryan was very helpful and patient with me..

My car is a 99 C4 - colour code BF which is space gray.

BUT when I got the dye from him, it was too blue for some reason. A lot of digging later (and the OPC in belfast fired up an old system) it turned out that space gray changed in shade in 2000 and mine was a slightly darker shade.

I had to send Ryan a sample to match the colour (take a cutting from under one of the rear seats. I got a fantastic match, but I had to do all the seats as I had 10 years of grime and wear :)

Although, the steering wheel does wear again quickly I think. What I would say is that the conditioner and cleaner you get with the kit is far and above the best kit I've used.

see the difference here with the correct dye...
