What 2010 models are being driven .. ?

Must confess, I don't quite understand the question[&:]

Are you asking who is driving the latest model Cayenne? Is the new one a 2010 or 2011 model? When I discussed it with my OPC he referred to it as 2011, but there again it wouldn't be built until Autumn. And I don't think there's a new model GTS.

Must say, though, the new Cayenne does look very nice (for an SUV) and, as a family sized Porsche, I'd prefer it to the Panamera.

As a prospective buyer, it would be interesting to read existing owners' feedback.

I'm not quite sure whether one would say 2010 or 2011 .. certainly the new model Cayenne.

I've not owned an 'upright 4x4' before .. ie an SUV (sport utility vehicle).

I find the turbo very responsive and sure footed .. great feeling of steering through the wheel. Spacious, great on motorways and excellent on country lane.

It is the same length as my 2003 RS6 Avant & 8 cm wider, so perhaps not ideal for driving around town.

In comparison to the Panamera which I test drove, I preferred the Cayenne by quite a large margin.

Admittedly I did not test drive a Range Rover Sport or an X5 .. the Porsche pedigree was my starting point and the test drive proved that it
was a great machine to own.

I have owned both the Range Rover Sport supercharged and the X5 twin turbo diesel, but imo the new Cayenne is far superior all round, hence I have ordered the Turbo. I didn't realise just how good it was until the test drive, go and have a drive you will be blown away no matter which model you drive.

I've not owned a 4x4 before, although I do have a 2003 Audi RS6 Avant.

The new Cayenne Turbo is as much fun to drive as the RS6

I never thought I would be the type to buy own an SUV type vehicle , but having bought the new Cayenne Diesal it is truly amazing vehicle . The handling is staggering for a vehicle of this size and is on a par with performance saloons . I spoken to contacts at Porsche and the Diesal performance in real world driving is quicker than the S , the instant torque coupled to superb gearbox gives instant acceleration . I specced PCCB brakes and am still trying to adjust to the race car braking distance . I would also advise the heat and noise insulating glass , there is a significant reduction in noise and at motorway speed , totally silent cruising at 100mph , you can,t believe the figures on speedo . The only negative part of ownership is the snide bitchy remarks you get from typical British reactions to new cars .

Enjoy your motoring ... I just drove 600 miles back from France via Paris ...

The Cayenne was awesome .... with a capital F !
