Wet wheels advice

Due to the current weather i am considering using the boxsters 17" wheels with conti rubber for Spa rather than taking the mags with the dunlops. Anyone else tried this combination on their RS?
tyres and wheels are as follows
front 205/50 ZR 17 7J 55 et
rear 255/40 ZR 17 8.5J 50 et
close to this combination is recommended in RS supplement for winter driving. Only difference is rear et and width. I am on spacers anyway so et not really an issue either.
Anyone tried this combo before? Anyone with other thoughts?

SSRs for me on the 3 and if its wet....just hang on!
 
If it is wet and you don't have proper wet tyres then make use of the free bar. Then watch the horror unfold under red flags!
 
Just fitted a new set of Dunlop SSR......it will probably be blazing Sunshine packing my Piz Buin......[:D]
