Hi Helen

Yes .... we had dinner and a (wind-swept) picnic together ..... even bought a forum badge from you!

Photograph (Seal Bay) is actually The Sound.

Pity about your Robin Hood tour - I was looking forward to seeing that car over here - seeing I have one of only two 356s on the Island, it would have been great. What went wrong?

time/money and clash of personalities all had something to do with it. maybe we could organise a 356 trip to IOM and i could borrow it/bring it over, its a lovely car and really should be used.

I'm over in the IoM tomorrow. I'll try to pop in and see Paul Dangerfield.

How are things developing at Jurby?

Hi Mike

PD tells me you're looking at Paul Kniveton's RS - did you see that one for sale in France in PPost recently?

Jurby comes and goes in fits and starts - I think there is a big track-day this Saturday(?) not organised by Dukie though.

Might bump into you tomorrow!!

As will be revealed in the next Porsche Post, the next planned event on IOM is spectating the 3 Hills Challenge on 1 May.

Does anyone know if this event is still going ahead? Either that, or if you know who organises it then let me know and I will contact them.

Failing that, I suggest we meet up for coffee at The Sound on 2nd May, say, at 11am.

Helen, by the way, I think we must have met as well, at the picnic. I was there in my yellow Caterham. I gather from some of your recent posts that you are pleased with the Janspeed exhaust. I am toying with the idea of a Techart exhaust for the Boxster.

I've just seen that I've only got one star under my name. Is it like MacDonalds where you get more stars when you graduate from lettuce to burgers?

Tony,

Paul's RS is, potentially, an interesting project. But it is in very poor condition and there is only one way to restore these cars - properly and with no expense spared. That, unfortunately, means the thick end of £50k, plus the cost of acquiring, plus all the grief and aggro of getting it done, sourcing parts etc.

The net result could be a fantastic RST, but it wouldn't be worth any more than the costs.

In any event, I don't think Paul would sell it. He's owned it since 1983. You should go and see it. He's very hospitable.

To All .
A warm welcome from the Scots . Pass on our regards to Rodger Lucas.

Regards Brian RO1
