WANTED SOME 17" CUP 2's

I am on the lookout for a set of OEM 17" Cup 2's as I need another set for my racecar. Cosmetic condition unimportant. Would consider a part set if you have the odd spare rim.

Ideally I would like 2 of each of the following :-

8J ET 52 or 70 for the front (would be OK with the 7.5J ET 65 as an alternative)
&
9.0J ET 55 for the rear

any help locating some would be greatly appreciated.

Are you "allowed" to use the 8" fronts.???
PS the et,s for the 7.5,s are et65.....not 63.....
You do know you can get the cup2,s in 8/17 et 70 aswell..?? just add a 20 mm spacer to get an et of 50....

Dave -- you are the official depository of knowledge in this area!! I'll correct the ET item -- just copied it off the www.944racing.de site, so that must be a mistake there!

On front rim widths, Clause 5.12 of the Club regs say :

Rim widths must be standard save that any car may fit rims up to 7J wide,
and where standard specification prescribes 7J or 7.5J these may be replaced by 8J rims.

So the good news is I can use 8J fronts, if I ever find any!! front tyres as i think you know are limited to the 225 x 45 x 17's though. Will they be OK on 8J rims?

Tyres should be ok, At least itl stop any sidewall flex...

Not necessarily Pete as they also came in cup2,s + in theory they are cheaper / less desirable...Or so it seems.

Paul, I've pm'd you on 968uk but not wheels[&:]

Although I do have two rear cup 2 but can't find any 8" fronts[]

Maybe extra 7.5" about as the race boys go to 8"?

After a slight mishap today I'm after one standard 9x17 - ET55 Cup 2 for my Sport.

Anyone know of any for sale?

as far as I know there are in fact 2 different offsets of Cup 2 made -- please specify whether the ET is 55mm or 70mm -- then someone might be able to help you.

I have found a set of 17" Cayenne rims which will become my wet set for racing -- so am now sorted.

Paz -- these Cayenne rims I have are all 7.5 & ET 53 -- so not really any good for normal use, they'll do nicely to carry my wet tyres though. Suspect they are on the heavy side as well @ 9 or 10kg each.
