Want extra stiffness 944

Hello all, looking to upgrade my anti roll bar on my 944 S2 - heard that I should look out for M030 or 968 anti-roll bars? However haven't seen many around? Any advice is welcome, where to go? what setup to go with?

Cheers,

Tommy

I'd highly recommend the ARB support brackets that SAR classics sell on eBay for £36 or something. Really stiffen the front at minimal cost and time to fit.

cheers for the heads up they are cheap! Would you recommend leaving the bar as it is then, I believe the S2 is the larger size anyway around 26mm?? (the car isn't available to check at the moment, massive pain when shopping for bits!) but thinking can I obtain harder bushes to provide extra stability? Or is that a lost cause you think?

+1 for the ARB support brackets. You can get poly bushes which are stiffer which is what I done. Makes a fair difference combining the two.

Yup, I changed to an S2 bar, used flo-flex poly bushes and added the support brackets, made a big difference.

I think the 968 M030 arbs are what you want, they make a major difference and really help reduce roll (you will lose a little comfort, but if you're an enthusiastic driver you wont care). Not sure where the cheapest place to get them from is at the moment, but worth speaking to Exeter OPC or similar to see what their price is.

Top stuff guys cheers for the advice, I've seen these ARB 944 / 968 are they effectively the same as the M030 ARB's? Also does anyone know exactly the the dia of the S2 roll bar - only seen someone comment on here saying they think its a 26mm bar?

Some useful details here about diameters etc for the various models.

Cheers for the link, looking at rear ARB bushes but this link shows 3 different diameters?
14mm
18mm
20mm - is the S2 this size being the last in line of 944's??
