Valuation

Having switched to Classicline for my insurance they are giving me the option to have the value of my car agreed. As well as photo's they require the opinion of a 'relevant car club official/automotive valuer/vehicle assessor'. Any suggestions, please?
By the way, am I the only person to find Classicline to be a 'relaxed' sort of organisation? My policy came through for a Carrera 4 Cabriolet which would obviously be worth considerably below the £55k for the RS and they are now going to correct the problem without question.

Either contact Steve Kevlin at PCGB HQ for an official PCGB Valuation or ask Mel Spear. Mel did mine as he knows the car well and was in Cheltenham at the time so as convenient as I could make it for him - Classicline know his reputation well (!) and are happy to receive a valuation signed by Mel as Reg Sec.

They've changed the system - maybe 'cos of the high value of the car. When I first insured my 968 coupe with them a couple of years ago, I just had to send them photos and £15, and they agreed my valuation of £11k without question!

They would take either method earlier this year. Either fill in their form or get the club to do something. Melv did mine too (thanks Melv!)
