USB interface and Nokia Lumia 920 (Windows 8)

Hi,

just moved from an older iPhone to the new Nokia Lumia 920 Windows phone, the iPhone integrated well with the PCM and USB so I got Bluetooth calls and full access to the iPod functions. However, while the Nokia works well with the Bluetooth - for calls and music - it lacks the controls (scroll, playlists, jump tracks etc) so I was hoping that I'd be able to use the USB to get more functionality...nope, when I plug in the USB cable I even lose the AUX Bluetooth.
Anyone got any thoughts or advice if there's something I can do to make this work better?

Same in both my cars (2012 Cayman R & 2013 Cayenne Diesel).
