US Cayman S prices vs. UK Cayman S prices

The Americans appear to be getting a very good deal. I ran the Configurator from the American Porsche site and built a Cayman S as close to the car that i've ordered in the UK. The price difference was quite astonishing.

Cost of my car (inc. VAT) in the UK: £50,628

Cost of same spec car in America: £39,602

Difference: £11,026

This just doesn't sound right. Am i missing something here? Are the US prices inclusive of taxes for example?
