Urgent advice sought please

Having stripped down the driveshafts and cleaned up, (not bad for 2 hrs to get this far) I am a bit concerned with the wear to the offside outer end of the shaft.

Any of you guys have an opinion? ok to use or should I replace?

Was hoping to get the car back on the road today.....oh well

I believe when a member asked about his shafts being in a similar state the advice was for him to get them painted up and the CVs refitted. I can see what you mean though with the metal that has been eaten away.

I'd say the good shaft is fine, but the corroded one in the last image is sorry for itself. Its got to be down on strength by 30% - 50% just on the diameter reduction.
Saying that, the steel spec of the shaft as new is such that they would probably handle 500hp each for 10,000 miles...so its unlikely to break in a normal car.
I would replace it with a used one like your other
They all have some corrosion at the neck of the CV boot

I got new turbo drive shafts with cv joints 4 same price as 2 cv joints.

Seems pointless rebuilding them

Mine didn't look as bad so i repainted and used again. Where are they available new complete for that price T3era?

MIT be worth getting new oil seal each side 4 gear box and new bolts.

Got 4 CV joints for £240 delivered, you paid £120 for 2 complete driveshafts?

Pattern ones are competitively priced. IME pattern driveshafts (well, the CVs) can be a complete lottery in how long they last.

Job all done and finished on Saturday, after a gentle run to settle the CV's in and make sure all the grease had worked it's way in, gave her a blast - what a difference no vibration what so ever not even the little I used to have before the lowering and the noise I thought was a wheel bearing has gone too []

She feels a little quicker due to the smoothness as well []
