Update on clutch problems... HELP!!!

Ok, seem to have lost some fluid (not that I can see where it has gone) and now the clutch pedal is to the floor!! Anyone give me any ideas where to locate the clutch master and slave cylinders? I take it that one of them is fixed to the bulkhead by the reservoir but can't see anything else obvious? Seem to have had nothing but rain but will get the car up in the air to have a look better once it dries up. Is it more likely to be one or the other?

Slave is down at the bottom, you have to take the starter off to get to it. Sod's law is that it's usually the most difficult one to get to that fails...[]

Check the pipework as well, though. I saw one this week that had exactly the same symptoms and just had a split pipe.

Right, have managed to get the car up and my head under the oily bits. Looks to be fluid leaking where the starter motor bolts to indicating definitely the slave cylinder (I believe...) Will get one ordered and hopefully my problems will be solved.

I watched a un(Porsche)experienced fitted replace my slave cylinder, without removing the starter motor, in about 20 minutes.

I've dowloaded the info from clarks and in my head it doesn't seem too bad. I will update once it's done... for info have got a replacement from porscheshop for just £54 including postage [;)] surprised to beat eurocarparts who were £63 and free postage

I'd actually do the master as well (and the fluid line) while you're in there unless you're on a really tight budget as then everything is new.

If the car doesn't sell then I may well do that. It's going back on ebay on thursday to try my luck. Reached £1000 with no tax and a months mot left so hopefully i'll have better luck now as i've just taxed it and mot'd it.

Cheers everyone

It would have been even cheaper if you had been a member... [8|]
