That was a very interesting visit , well worth having a lift down to it from Steve Brookes [:D].......and being greeted by a mug of coffee and a well-done bacon buttie from the griddle....NIRVANA

The Viper Green car being built for the HK customer was fired up a few times and lifted a few times so you could see all the shiny new bits that make up the suspension. The engine was based on a 964 block , the transmission was G50 and the donor chassis was an early 911 (2.4S) with serious steel flares fitted front and back for the RSR look.

There were 2 other 'early' (60s) cars in or out of the workshops , and a good assortment of guest cars in the car park. I noticed a very nice rally biased 914/6 with 2.4 911 engine running on PMOs and a very wide stance ; a classic guards red supersport 3.2 carrera cab ; and a few hot looking 964s . Must not fail to mention a very yellow 2.7 Carrera and some well cared for front engined Porsches.

We are very lucky in this area to have some first class independent Porsche specialists , Unit 11 only came up on my radar very recently but they get top marks for infectious enthusiasm and a very broad knowledge base that certainly covers both my cars ( '69 911E and '92 964RS ). Thanks for organising the day guys.
