Back in August 2022 I bought my first Porsche, a 718 Boxster S: I was impressed at the time, the car. had almost everything I would have specified as a new build, back in 2017 when the original owner specified the car. He/She didn't use the car much, it sat in a garage in Inverurie, Scotland and by November 2021 it haad run just 10,321 miles, according to the MOT.
In my first year of ownership I made 3 additions, cruise control and Apple play. plus a set of winter tyres on 18" rims. These went on in December 2022 as I felt that the car, as an all year round daily, needed them. Now in September 2024 the car has had its first service in my ownership and is at almost 21,000 miles. In 2023 the garage became clear, with the sale of the Morgan Plus 8 and the Boxster had a warm, dry home.
Our considered conclusion: WHY, oh why didn't we buy one earlier?
It is the best car we have owned, quick, comfortable, stylish and beautiful.
Nothing has gone wrong, although the service revealed some badly corroded exhaust clamp bolts. Cheap to buy, but expensive to fit. I bought a 2 year warranty extension.
The car still looks stunning, he she is in April just having been waashed at the local Tesco car wash.
