Turbo / S2 batwing underbody cover fitting

Hey chaps,

this seems a bit daft but.................

the garage left the batwing off the bottom of the front bumper (on my request) I am now fitting it back on but have never removed it before.

I am having trouble matching up the fixings even using PET.

There are small self tappers which I know go around the front, there are medium sized self tappers with hex heads and then large self tappers with hex heads.

Do the largest self tappers with hex heads hold the 3 stick out fixing points onto the main underbody engine cover or should these be 3 x m6/m8 bolts (which are missing)??

Clear as mud i know buy the big self tappers have a pretty brutal thread don't want to force them in the wrong place, also know a few bits are missing so want to make sure I get them the correct way!

The self tappers with the rough thread go into the speed clips round the front and at the back where it attaches to the engine under-tray. The speed clips usually rust away to nothing and will need to be replaced. You can buy them in packs from any good hardware / tool supplier.

that kind of thing is always handy to have around the workshop.

Here's a picture that should help you line it up properly
