I've pretty much given up on the PSE as, five weeks on, I cannot get any information out of Porsche Cars GB about whether a PSE can be retrofitted to my MY06 Cayman S.
With that in mind, I spoke to Manu at Scuderia Systems (Egham) and he has talked me into a Tubi exhaust. I've listened to a few sound files of the Tubi on various cars on the Internet and it sounds awesome. Does anybody have a Tubi exhaust fitted to their Cayman S?
The price I was quoted was £1290 + VAT fitted (so it's roughly the same price a PSE fitted). There is no switch to make it quiet like there is with the PSE. Manu at Scuderia Systems sounded like he knew what he was on about - he appeared to know more about Porsches than any OPC i've ever called! There is a two-week lead time and the fitting just requires 2-3 hours. He told me that he fits Tubi systems on Carrera GT's and Ferraris so I guess a little, old Cayman S will not present a problem. He was even willing to courier the OEM exhaust bits at not extra charge back to my home.
If only Manu worked for an OPC!
