Hi all, hoping you can help - I'm trying to find more info on this UK 930 Turbo which belonged to my late father from new - Apologies for the poor photo quality, it's a UK RHD and looks to be Platinum Metallic with Pascha interior. He lived in North East England.

Does anybody recognise the car?

have you no old paperwork that you could get the chassis number from ? Did you try the registrar ?
Good advice, unfortunately, these old photos are all I have to go off. Yes, i did attempt to reach out to the registrar, but haven't had a response yet.

Does anybody with a better 1st hand knowledge of the period colours recognise the colour? At 1st thought, I'd assumed Platinum Metallic, but looking at it, it may be something a touch darker? I know it's difficult with the quality of the images and their white balance...

It's not a car that I recognise, and without a chassis number an almost impossible task now that the registration number has moved on.
OK John, thanks for letting me know .

Whilst i have you, in other matters, do you know if i can purchase a copy of my 930's build sheet from Porsche?

Unfortunately no longer available via the Club, and as I understand it, not from Porsche Cars GB either.
However, I have heard of instances where it has been possible to get / purchase that info from the original supplying Porsche dealer, assuming that they are still in business.

OK, cheers John

I got mine with an inspection I had done by Porsche Inspections , maybe they have a way of getting your build sheet ?

IMG_0822.pngHi

I’ve Just been looking for plate history’ websites and here’s what I found out… this plate was first registered in the Ross and Cromarty county council in 1963, which is in Scotland.

Maybe the local council will have some
Info on the car?

Here’s the website

Alternatively maybe the R&C CC national archives could help given you now have the precise year and precise county council location where that plate was originally registered?

Or someone smarter than me (not difficult) can take the lead from here?

It would be amazing to find your late dad’s car!
