Just some feedback... I tried in vain to remove the painted over paint code badge - located on LHS A pillar (the one inch square aluminium badge held on with four rivets). Solution for me - but take great care - was use of nitromose paint stripper.
I found that the badge was anodised (I think) to give the black writing on the badge - which didn't seem affected by nitromose stripper. Gentle scraping and repeat applications did the trick. It was only a little job - but irritating the hell out of me every time I saw the painted over badge.
