Time to say goodbye to the old girl

Well, after 4 years and 45K miles of 944 ownership the time has come for the old girl to go.

Bought a Volvo C30 R-Design Sport a couple of weeks ago and have decided to sell the 944. There is a guy on his way up from London to collect her and so my love affair will come to an end.

Will I miss her? Yes, of course I will, but the time has come to move on.

@Frenchy...... if you ever see a Black C30 sporting an 05 plate.... that's the new mistress!

Er .... you're swapping a 944 for one of these?

Ummm, don't quite know what to say!

Oli.

Going back to my Ford roots I suppose.... after all a C30 is basically a Ford Focus in a Volvo Body. Took it for a test drive and was surprised how well it handled. Love the leather heated seats and the audio system in it. [8D]

Time to go and order a pipe and some slippers!

The 944 will be fondly remembered, but she was getting a bit too expensive for me to keep running as a daily driver....

Was it a burgundy coloured 944, used to see one passing through Whitehaven on a regular basis ?

Cheers, Paul

That is the one Ruddy, Fiend i will look out for you, sounds as though you obviously enjoyed the 944, bet you are looking for another in the next year or so !

Doubt it Frenchy...... Since my daughter started driving I won't have the spare cash for a toy for myself - she has already managed to clout a wall within a week of getting her Corsa and is already cadging off me for petrol money, and then there is SWMBO who wants us to start saving for a property abroad for when we retire, we won't be hanging around when I finish at the holiday camp... we're off to sunnier climes!

The C30 handles well enough to keep the smile on my face, and I'm planning a couple of discrete mods to it already. [:)]

how much did you sell it for? He seems to be a bit of a dealer (look at his feedback).

I got more than I was expecting so was quite happy with what I got for it.

£865 - did he lose much on the deal?

Take into account the train ticket, petrol costs and fleabay fees and the result his most definitely lost money on it.

Dodgy wheeler dealer was the impression I got of him.... it took him all of 8 hours from handing over the cash to re-advertising it.
