Ticking noise

The flat-6 is a very "ticky" engine - tappets and injectors (on the DFI engine) at start-up and also when warm. Radiated sound from the engine gets reflected from the ground and out the sides of the car.
Maybe you should get underneath if you can and make sure that nothing's touching the polybelt and that the sound isn't coming from the ancillaries.

It sounds like you have a gen 1 - if it’s the smaller capacity engine it’s very unlikely to have some of the serious problems you hear of.
I’d get it run up to temp and recheck. Avoid letting it tick over to achieve this as the oil pump isn’t working very hard at low rpm.
(The hydraulic lifters are oil fed and need a nice supply of warm, thin oil to be quiet)
Kind Regards Lee
my noise sound a bit like when kids peg cardboard onto their bikes so the spokes hit it as the wheels go round
