Thruxton 1st June

Hope to see you there then. I've emailed Charlie for more details (who sends tickets etc.) but have had no reply now for over 5 days. Do you have any info from Charlie or about the event timetable for arriving etc.?

Hi Graham. Tickets can be purchased direct from Thruxton Circuit web site. Go to Thruxton Motorsport Celebration page & on right hand side click Car Club Infomation. Bottom left add to basket for £12 then at checkout page enter Discount code, PCR17TMC19. This will give you 50% discount. I got email confirmation saying tickets will be posted.
I do not have any details of the arrangement, I guess Charlie will email before event.
Adrian.

Hi Adrian, Yep got tickets a couple of weeks back through the club discount scheme and was really just seeking extra advice as this is the first event (after 4 tears of membership) that we've planned to attend. When ordering the tickets I also emailed Charlie, as he requested, and I guess expected some sort of acknowledgement from him/club. So emailed him again last week through the club email address asking a couple of further questions. So far - nothing back? I Guess I'll give it another week before trying to contact him by phone.

Thanks message. It's also our first R17 event but we did go to the same Thruxton meeting last year and there were various car clubs parked by Startline & Skidpad area. The timetable is on the Thruxton web site for your info but I guess we will need to be there early !

Hi Greg, mine have also arrived. See you there & have a good trip. What is Unicorn spec ?

Hi Adrian

It’s as rare as a unicorn, referring to the fact I’ve never seen another 987 CS in the same spec. [:)]

It was specced from factory with almost everything including the R aero kit and illuminated carbon sills. I spoke to the original owner through PistonHeads who told me it was ordered by Porsche to be effectively a show car back in 2011, but instead was sold.

Its by by no means as impressive as a GT model but I’m happy with it nevertheless!

It was delivered with black wheels BTW, I had them painted in Porsche Weissgold when they were refurbished.

So we all have our tickets then but Charlie seems noticeable by his absence as I guess we (at least I do) need to know what time we should arrive to ensure we get Club Parking?
Anyone got any idea?

Hi Graham, you and I got email but Greg's name not on header which is why I asked. Maybe Charlie sending 2 batches ?

Adrian, thanks for replying to earlier questions.... sorry guys, but I have not accessed the Forum for a few weeks. As for Greg, he was not on my list of attendees ( people who have emailed me to say they were going), so he has not received my final instructions...copied below

They will include instructions for arrival at the circuit, they will be asked to come to the Main Gate and drive into Car Park A where they will be directed to Gate 4 then will include details of where the club areas are located.

The circuit are asking clubs to arrive by 10.30am each day although they are going
to be a bit flexible with this....

Thank you Charlie, sorry I've just noticed the request to contact you in the latest magazine.

I‘ll be at Thruxton on Saturday only, unfortunately I’m working on Sunday (missing day 2 of Thruxton, Beaulieu and Goodwood supercar sunday! [:(])

See you all around 1000 on Saturday.

Great to meet you all yesterday. Hope you have a good day today wether your at Thruxton, Beaulieu or Goodwood!

The next meet Alice and I can make is at Brookspeed, we look forward to seeing you then.

Great day out. Sorry we had to leave a little early but the demands and attention span of grandchildren forced this upon us. Thanks for organising the event Charlie.
