I just thought it was a fair price for a car in such good condition.

if its only worth £2000 ile just keep it, I sold my 944s for nearly £4000 only a couple of years ago and this is head and shoulders better than that.

If you have invested good money in your car and therefore think it is worth the extra over the average lux then I think you will have to be prepared to wait for the right buyer to appreciate the differences.

VERY good point. You could find someone looking for exactly your car tomorrow, or it could take months. There are few buyers out there at the moment, and they can get a lot of car for £3K, so it's a rare buyer who specifically wants a 944 Lux in very good condition. You can at least enjoy it whilst you're selling! []

ok I have removed the drivers back of the seat to have it repaired and have put the passenger one in its place, so easy wish id done it months ago, it literally took 30 minutes. Vaughn is doing the seat for me next week.

FWIW, AutoGlym Interior Shampoo (Available from Hallfords) did wonders for my seats when I first got my S2, will get alot of the ingrained dirt out taking years off how they look, and something else that will help sell the car for very little £.

Also if I were you I'd lose the wooden steering wheel, it just doesnt do the car any justice IMO, fit the lozenge if you still have it.

my dads an upholstery cleaner and has a special machine for cars, so he will be sorting the interior out, but to be fair its not bad.

That is 10x better. Id either buy a new cassette box lid, or replace it with a basic spec odments tray too.

Agreed, much better, and thats from someone who doesnt even like the lozenge normally. Cassette lid is also a good point, whether you get what you are after will depend alot in the details of the car, its fine if the bodywork is all sorted but if other areas are letting it down it will put people off. I would also get some decent matts, and hoover the carpets. People like buying cherished vehicles so in my view you need to make it look that way too.

To be honest, now alasdair has sorted me some brackets for the rear seat belts I am hoping to keep the car now, but ile leave the ebay listing on until the end, or she wont ever shut up about it, this way if it does not sell, its ammunition for me []
