Thinking About Getting a 968

Hi All,

I've been thinking about buying a classic Porsche for a while and as I'm not really into 911s have decided that it'll probably be a transaxle. We had a 944 back in the 90s so have some familiarity with these cars but want something a bit different to that. A 928 would be ideal but I'm concerned about the potential financial issues if something major goes wrong so that leaves the 968 as a primary candidate.

On that basis I thought I'd ask if any existing members have any advice or pointers they could share on what to look out for to help me try and find something that's reasonably decent. The other thing I wanted to ask is a lot of cars for sale have 150k miles or more on them so are they generally good for that or are we looking at major engine/transmission overhauls in the not too distant future?

Thanks for your help
