Has anyone done this and if so what do you think of it, plus have you had issues with getting it through an MOT with OPF delete and OAP's. I note Genome make a point of saying there stage 2 tune is for none road use only.

Hi John,

Can’t help with your first question I’m afraid, but I think you’ll find that deleting the particulate filter is an automatic MOT failure if it was an original fitment. Also, for the same reason you may invalidate your insurance.

On top of that the Ninemeister tuning package will invalidate any Porsche warranty on the vehicle, Factory or Extended.

Yep, what Jeff says. The mod will prevent the car ever going back into the used OPC network again (if an OPC properly checks the ECU data) and all drivetrain claims under any existing warranty are likely to be rejected.

I know plenty of people have had the work done, but my guess is that they are not declaring it to their insurers in full detail - not a good idea in my opinion.

So you could do it and get away with it - but are you just storing up problems for later? Having run a 4.0 Cayman on road and track (with a 9m final silencer, actually) for over 6 years now, my advice (for what it's worth) is to consider fitting a 9m lightweight flywheel if you have a car with a manual gearbox otherwise leave well enough alone in the drivetrain department. The cost/benefit ratio doesn't really add up.

GO Genome, as they offer a warranty on the whole car , then NO OPC's woo hoo.
NO hassle with n spec tyres
NO hassle paying 100% more for oil and £4500 for a service
NO excuses about that camera you installed voids you full warranty !

Etc etc
