The washers have stopped working

Have you filled it up; have you cleared the jets; does it make a noise? When these are ruled out youll have to remove the pump, which is on the reservoir itself; and hotwire it. If it works its the switch or the wiring. Getting the reservoir out can be a PITA.

Disconnecting the pipe from the jets and using the washers will tell you if the jets are blocked. Testing if there is power to the pump is tricky without removing the reservoir.
As Simon mentioned, removing the reservoir is a pain as it has to be removed from below, which means lifting the front and removing the front valance. I gave up after snapping a screwdriver on one of the fixings [
