I was at a Swissvax demo PCGB day at Lloyds Carlisle bodyshop today speaking to Andrew the owner he told me that both Silverose cars recently advertised by them have ben sent to Perth in Australia to different owners.
So that is 2 more off the UK list now, i make it 50, he also said that the low mileage concours car made it's 19k + asking price no questions, he also commented that sending a car to Oz is a nightmare all, water to be removed including screenwash and refrigerant gas.
I am booking the Turbo S in to Swissvax next month to remove paint imperfections.
Jim.

post 89 you need to be able to demonstrate 1 yr of private ownership in UK when submitting app. So usual evidence but for example - car must have been garaged within reasonable proximity to your primary residence, also need to show resignation letter from work and end of tenancy or sale of house to show you are moving to oz for good. Can only do one post 89 car every 5 years. So from paper work perspective its quite painful

pre 89 cars...u can buy..submit a 1 pager.......approved (takes a few weeks)..ship within weeks (as mentioned all aircond needs degassing and steam clean car all over etc but this is same for all cars)

hence why lots of pre 89 cars going to oz given exchange rate is currently 1GBP:1.5AUD......historically exhc rate has been more like 1GBP:2.5-3AUD. Though 944's - no real margin in them relative to a oz delivered turbo. Silver rose slightly rarer so may be able to get $50k for it....

i want to take my 964 back to sydney..but given a 996 Gt3 Mk II is £37k here and $130k back there....hmmmmm
