Targa Wind Deflector

Another (!) mini-moan regarding my beautiful Targa 4S purchased in February 😂😂😂

Above the windscreen, there is a wind deflector which you manually activate so that it pops up

And press down to close

No photographic evidence, but pretty sure the deflector used to fully close

Now there is a small gap

OPC Leicester tell me this is perfectly standard

I am not convinced

Anyone with a newish Targa that can provide photographic evidence?
 
My last 992 was a Targa and also had a 991.2 Targa back in 2016, they both have the same wind deflector system. I seem to recall its a two stage opening process, when the roof is initially folded, it sets at stage 1, then if you press the bar somewhere in the centre, (I think there is an embossed triangle symbol) it will release to a slightly higher position, stage 2. This is for faster speeds, I found to be above 50mph, whereas the lower opening, stage 1 is ok up to that speed.

Hi Vincent

The OPC is wrong. You should be able to fully close the deflector simply by pressing down. Not in the area where the down arrow is though!

I will take the wind deflector issue up with OPC Leicester once they tell me the gears not engaging on my Targa is rectified

I was pretty certain that when I received the car as new in February, the wind deflector closed to absolute zero

Unfortunately, I don't have photographic evidence of this, but I do think they're trying to fob me off
