I've seen battery failure topics on a few forums of late MG/Porsche Volvo etc so thought I'd share this.

After my Batteries failed on two cars in one month ! and needing reliability I did two things.

First of course I purchased two brand new batteries and also bought myself a battery booster pack. I have read a lot of reviews re the 'cheap home type ones' some good some very dire indeed.

I saw an offer at my new best friend Euro Car Parts £44.99 for a booster with built in light and tyre compressor. Now with 25 percent club member discount as ever , it comes out at 33 pounds something which I realise sounds to cheap to be of any use whatsoever.

I looked at the spec and the thing is that it has a battery in it twice the capacity of other similar cheapies and equalling some of the smaller ' non DIY' ones so I bought one. I figured I was going to buy another tyre compressor anyway.

I had occasion to give someone a jump start the other day , from totally flat to whoooooosh and it had been sitting in my boot for a week. I also tried it on outr Volvo which hadnt a new battery and has been sitting unused for weeks and Whooosh that bust in to life too. The added bonus is you get a free tyre compressor ( and light) that doesn't need a lead to your battery out of the door/window when you swap sides on the car.

I love my booster pack and now top it up each weekend then stick it back in my boot. As a result I thought I'd review/recommend it for anyone who might like one.

An ideal xmas pressie for your wife if you ask me :)

Maybe we are about due a Christmas pressie for the wife thread !
