Sussex Region Concours - Bentley Park

The Sussex Region Concours will take place on 8th June at Bentley Park, near Uckfield. Traditionally we have 150 - 200 cars attend for what is predominately a family event and general get together.

The Concours competition itself consists of 1 open class and is judged to street rules. Entries are still being taken.

On the day we will have trade stands and displays from Rivervale Porsche, Elite Tyres and Incero. We hope to be visited by devotees of the GT3 register and I have laid on a display of unusual Porsches for us to ogle!

Gates open at 11:00 for members (8:30 for competitors) and there is a small charge for entrance to the park.

Bentley itself has various attractions from house and gardens to motor museum, bird sanctuary and miniature railway for the kids.

Everyone is welcome to what I believe is the biggest, small Concours around!!

I' ll post a map and directions tomorrow

regards

Peter

all ready booked into the cotswold rally otherwise i would attend,it' s only about a 3,1/2 hour drive down from ashby-de-la-zouch. provided you don' t get stuck behind any grandads on the A22[:-]
has Bentley still got it' s collection of car' s,there was talk a few years back of them selling them all.????

Hang on Helen, I' m a grandad, and thought I aquited myself over the WOTY, and won' t admit to my maximum speed during the trip home! Have fun.

oh yes ! life in the old dog still ah John!![;)]

bye the way my father who is 74 is still terrorising the local OAP population of sussex in his 2ltr freelander. so i do understand that not all Grandads are dithering old sods who drive around sussex at 35mph in there highly polished metro' s. it was just a figure of speech i didn' t intend to offend anyone. im very sorry if i did.

by the way, im old anough to be a granny myself!!![]

I was so keen on going the Bentley Concours that I turned up last Sunday (I live 15 minutes away). There was a Volvo concours and it was pouring with rain!

See you all there this Sunday

Mark, I am no fan of Volvos, and was certainly not going to spend £6 to look at them in the pouring rain.

Is there a class for pre-restoration cars?

nick, according the the concours rules (which i now have about 8 versions of)cars are not allowed to be trailered in to the event, so you might have a small problem[:D][:D][:D]

Looks like we need a new concours class. Or I just bring it alomg for people to poke (but not too hard) fun at [:D]

In these concours thingies, what you need is a
" I use it everyday so chucked a bucket of soapy water over it, but it was wet/muddy on the way here, so I just turned up anyway for something to do and don' t take it too seriously, but give me a sticker anyway please" class.

Nick im looking for a soap box for enysham any chance i could borrow it?

I might have to knock a little off the length in order to qualify but im sure it won' t be too noticable.[;)][:D]

your Horrable Hooligan Helen
