Hello,
I have a 1998 C2. The stereo is a Becker single din cd radio with a tape behind the facia. I swapped the battery, now it is asking for a code. There is nothing in the paperwork. Nor is there a sticker with the serial number or any identifying info on the head unit.
I have a replacement head unit that can go in whilst I try and sort it, however, the plugs for I presume the speakers are unlike anything I have seen. It has the dsp sound thing. Is there an adaptor I can use to plug the existing harness into the rear of the replacement stereo?

Search "Missing radio code 986" on the forum and contact Richard Hamilton who works out the code from the serial number and hopefully he'll tell you how to find the serial number.

The 4 digit radio code comes on a credit card sized card with the original owners pack

Here is how to get the serial number:

Hold down the TP button for at least 10 seconds after you turn the radio on. "Becker 1" will be displayed. Rotate the right knob (slowly) and it will display the Becker model number. Then rotate it again and the serial number should be displayed on the radio.

Post the serial number here, and I'll get you the code.
