Steering Wheel Vibration

Picked up car on Friday and at 65 - 75mph I feel a vibration on the steering wheel. It goes away after 80mph..... Is this a sympton which wheel balancing will cure or could it be more serious? Touch wood no rattles even with the vibration - lets hope it stays like that.

Not sure. I'd take it back to the dealer and get it looked at sooner rather than later. If it's minor, no problem. But if it's major, you may want to consider your options...

I've had my 997 for 3 weeks now. 1100 miles. no rattles, no vibrations. Hope it stays that way. Did most of the running in so far on long motorways. It's just starting to loosen up. Fantastic. It gets better every day.[:D][:D]

Only gripes are no iPod/MP3 compatibility[:mad:], and no one can hear you on the phone. Next iteration of PCM ought to be touch screen instead of all the buttons and scrolls...
 
My guess is nothing more serious than wheel imbalance. Possibly one of the stick on weights has come off. Get the OPC to check it out. Let us know what the cure turns out to be. Good luck.
