Starter Motor Change and Fuel Injector Ultrasonic Cleaning

In my latest Cayenne project jobs to do was a change of starter motor and cleaning the fuel injectors whilst I had it all apart.

As the engine has done 100k I suspected the GDI injectors would be really carbon coated and the only way to tell is to get them out!
The starter motor itself is really lazy and sometimes when I turned the key it simply would not crank or it would click and all the dash would go dim and then I'd get a rather odd brake pad wear fault, even though the pads are new.

I think the starter was actually shorting out the battery when it failed to crank, and this was causing me other electrical issues. I needed to get it out and change it over.

Here's how I did it and some of the issues you may experience if you decide to have a go yourself.
