Anybody else going on this this year?
Its the renamed and revised Cotswold Rally, on 26 April and is always a good day out, a very good excuse to drive round some lovely countryside.
See the post in the Members Section.
I'm no 4, in early for a change!

We have the usual motley crew of marshalls, including your very own McNulty and Sims comedy duo to entertain you on the day. [&:]

If you haven't done the rally, make a date and book a ticket before they sell out. It's a really easy-going day out, a great drive with the museum at the end, and there are always some wonderful cars that enter. The 944s traditionally have the largest entry proportionally, so win countless awards and admiration for their committment.

If you are booked in, see you there. Remember there's also the Heritage rally later in the year as well, which is for all cars over 20 years old.

Yes we will be going - always a really good day and highly recommended hopefully there will be of plenty of 944's attending [:)]

Is there any boisterousness?

Pootling around isn't my style but if there is some fun and shenanigans to be had I may come down for a run out.

This is an event where around 150 cars run a set route through beautiful countryside and small villages. If there was any silly driving it would come back and bite us, and it is run under very strict MSA rules for a good reason. We're all ambassadors for the brand, and in convoy need to appreciate how others see us. Any incidents and it will just add fuel to campaigns to stop organised road events.

The point is to take in the scenery, not do a track day. It's all about pootling, taking time to catch up with friends, spend time together. Not hooning around upsetting the locals! [:)]

I can add to Pauls response. I always tell entrants 'The faster you drive the more you will miss'.

There are quite a few 944's booked in already and as 50% of the team of marshals drive 944 or similar (mine are 2 924S's) the type will be well represented.

Got you.

I'm no stranger to MSA events. Mine are often run under slightly different regs though and with a rather different view on the right hand pedal and use of.

Sounds like a fun event though, hope you all have a good run.

Got your tickets yet?

This will be the last of the annual rallies, so it will sell out fast. [&o]

That's a real shame - the rallies, whether they be St Georges, Cotswolds or Frontrunners have been some of the highlights for me in my time with the Club. [&:]
