Spare parts to go to touring

A question for you all asked to me by somebody.

If you were touring the continent for a couple of weeks and had international breakdown recovery - what additional spart parts would you pack to be on the safe side?

A can of Mobil 1, and spare bulbs.

But then, the car has only let me down once, near Marseille (crappy, unfriendly OPC - I think my 3.2 was classed as too cheap to bother with) - great seafood (I digress).
It was one of the engine sensors, on the flywheel, so no spare would have sorted it. The nice AA shipped it back to blighty, and flew me home from Nice.

Did I mention the excellent seafood in that region - thought I might have.

I would take a set of plugs, leads, plug caps, dizzy cap and rotor arm. Some engine and gearbox oil (not much as it is easily available). If you are running tubes take a spare as they can be hard to get these days. A set of bulbs is a legal requirement as is a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and a warning triangle in most European countries, 2 triangles in Spain (really). How about a passenger door mirror for RHD cars?

There is a list of stuff on the RAC and AA sites. Don' t forget your E111 and take out some travel and medical cover.

Since you' re taking the Porsche, don' t forget the pointy stick to beat off the Euro-totty [;)]

Yup spare fan belt and Pulley Halves AND the correct spanner!

I also take a ' Battery Jump Box' one of those rechargeable things, saved me many a time, and it saves you calling the RAC and losing your ' no recovery discount'
