Sorry new car too many genuine questions. It will settle soon [8|]

My car mats are 'disgusting' , I'm after carpet type mats not rubber , does anyone have a recomendation for any after market 944 tailored ones that are nice for the money.

loads of companies on the web offering them.

Cheers

Mas

Mas. When I bought your old Turbo I got mats from Berlyn. They were pretty thin and certainly not going to last as long as OEM ones but they looked nice and fitted well.

Perhaps Craig can comment on how they are holding up?

I think the last thread on this came up with Autostyle being the best aftermarket mats at about £60. For about £30 extra you can get the Porsche items from OPC with Porsche script and very useful attachments to keep the mats from moving about...

67 pounds delivered from auto style , ill check thd opc price too, well see

Im thinking a beige type mat but not too sure tbh ive only ever bought black rubber ones in other cars
But i think it needs the luxury carpet look :)

If you only ever drive the car in dry weather, and/or take your shoes off getting into it, then beige. Otherwise, honestly, black. In my experience, anyway. Black ones always scrub up OK (until they wear out) but beige ones always seem to look shabby quickly.

Beige doesn't apply to my 944 but my last three BMWs have all had beige or other light tan sort of hide interiors and carpets, door panels etc., but have always looked fine with black floor mats.

Original 944 front mats had a Porsche script and holes in that matched two 90 degree turn button thingy's fixed to the seat runners to keep them in place.

I sent my OPC mats back ...very disapointing ......I purchased new OPC carpets and mats the the mat colour was completely different to the carpet....and the fit was not as good as my cheap aftermarket ones ....they told me they are No longer made by the original equipment manufacturer....and I have BLACK carpets so not exacxtly hard to match the colour[]

hiya,,mas great to hear in your back in the fold,,,you might want to give porsche centre, east london, have found parts dept very helpful in the past, a call,as the originals might be a better bet as they have got those fixture things to keep mats from moving about, good luck anyway mas,,, regards jason p

Perhaps a mis-order or faulty batch? I have been very pleased with my very black opc mats....

Just to confirm that my Autostyle mats did have a locking pin supplied with them, a choice of script is available as well.

Mas - great idea - are you coming to Brighton on Sunday??

Sadly noooo as I'm going to be sorting the fumigation issue
(which seemd lessoned last night) and a couple of very small bodywork issues before attending any meets [:(]

I do love a car meet though so trust me and will make plenty of them in the near.

Probably my first 'meet' will be 1st Sunday of October at the Goat Hertford Heath as I do like to go there and it might be the last at the Goat really before winter sets in this being the U.K !

Think? Iv got oem ones, and thought they were fake. They MIT still be. the script made by stiched in fabric rather then missing carpet thread, the backing has a stars repeated across. There thick and clean up well but do move about a lot,

Also the script is at differnt places 2 each mat when fitted?
