Silicone Hoses and kits

Hi all, so I've ordered a bunch of hoses from LR. However, they're struggling to get all the parts and have a long lead time. (Plus with import duties it's getting pricey!)
I spotted that Samco do a 16v coolant hose kit. I had contemplated using this for my 951 as I believe the primary hoses should fit. Does anyone have experience of this?
I can't find any other supplier with ready made kits for the 951.
My next port of call was going to be ASH for a selection of bits and pieces and make some up myself...

Hi Phil

I had to make my own up, any hose supplier should be able to sort out what you need, some will custom make the hoses for you but there's usually a bit of a lead time required if going that route. I used 'Performance Silicone Hoses' but there are plenty of others.

cheers

Pete

I'm surprised you didn't get yours from Performance Silicone Hose. Each one has your initials on it. I think of you every time I look under the bonnet.

I tried PSH but they no longer made up the 951 kit, they also said they couldn't cutom make anything, I could just select from their stock range and make whatever I wanted up. That's the same as ASH which seem a bit cheaper/better value.
However, I've subsequently ordered the whole kit from LR in the US and they (hopefully) may be at home as I type...

To answer the other question (no need for apologies), I think you would just order various lengths, angles etc in either or both silicone/ally and make up your own hoses. (They do ally 'T' pieces etc... I guess making your own silicone 'T's could be possible, but wouldn't be pretty...?

Lindsey Racing is your best bet though I recon...

Hi Phil

I took a look at PSH's site and yes it's changed a great deal, bespoke hoses are no longer listed as you say. They seem to have diversified into other products and thus no longer specialise in silicone hoses.

John, I do mainly have PSH hoses fitted although you can't see the logo, I also have new hoses that my son bought, think they've 'viper', he has a trade account with them hence why I no longer get PSH.

cheers

Pete

I'm really sad to hear PSH no longer do custom hoses. That was their USP and I had a number of unobtainium hoses made up by them years back. I can appreciate it is easier to make batches of stuff and keep them on the shelf but that doesn't make them any different to anyone else.
