Side Stripe Decals - Yes or No?

Hi All,

general consensus, I have a Carrera White 987.2 which I’m toying with adding Porsche side stripes - as in the picture, I’ve also put a picture of it as is. I like the way they look, but do you guys think it’s a yes or no? Also one of the previous owners had the Boxster badge removed off the boot and was going to put it back on but a black one, is this a good idea?
 
Tend to think that tarting up a Porsche makes it look a bit Halfords but that is my opinion and it's everyone to their own.
My current 718S is simply badged 718 and people are saying- get an S badge for it but am I boverred?????
 
For what it’s worth , I think side Porsche decals look good - especially on a white car - I thought of doing the same on my white 991.1 GT3 as the white cars tend to look a bit " slab sided "

I have a 987.2 in white just as yours, it had the 'Boxster' script factory deleted as an option.

Really is a personal thing and the decals can shout 'look, a Porsche' where plain white is...plain.
Are you asking because you can't make your mind up, and if so I think you should fit them and see how you feel.
You can always take them off.

The Cayman looks v nice with them.

As to the rear script; if you could get one in the same 'colour' as the original, spectacle tortoise shell then I would have one in a blink of the eye.

Side stripes are reserved for the 987 Spyders only :ROFLMAO: TBH I think it looks ok breaks up the slab side look ,but as your wife has spoken for you that's the matter closed ![:eek:]

Just put them on one side and drive the plain side up to the house when you park ??
