Just picked up my car from the OPC after having the Short-Shifter option fitted to my C2S Cab
First impressions are that it's definitely more "˜punchy' than the standard shifter, and does indeed make the driving experience feel more connected. Gears aren't any harder to get in than before, nice and smooth. I think it may take me a while to get used to not holding the clutch in for so long though"¦
In short (no pun intended)... I like it!!
It's not as big a gear-throw difference as I thought it was going to be however, and practically £400 (even with a PCGB parts discount) seems a lot for such a slight change. But hey, these cars are about maximum enjoyment factor, so I definitely made the right choice (especially as I have a track day booked tomorrow to practice with!)
